Remember, this is the outcome for which Conservatives are working.
If Obama's programs fail, well, the financial system will collapse. Millions upon millions of people will lose their jobs, houses, savings and health insurance. Image the cost in human suffering.
The dollar will lose it's value. In order to finance anything the government would print more, a lot more. What people did have will be worth far, far less. Again, human beings will suffer. A lot. The cost of utilities would be more than most folks could afford.
In order to survive children will have to work, probably at the same minimum wage as now. It will be worth very little.
In a state of financial collapse, the country will be at the mercy of other countries. The World Bank could establish "free trade zones" in exchange for loaning money which couldn't be repaid.
And so on.
And to this Conservatives are dedicated. Oh, they'll deny it, somehow, but it's inescapable. They'd rather see the country go under if they can't transfer what's left of the American economy to the super-wealthy.
I suspect they'll not like having the consequences of their actions pointed out and will deny responsibility.
