Arthur's horses are the most powerful beasts in the kingdom. One can spot a Knight of the Table Round simply by looking at the horse they are riding. Arthur's white stallion is surely the most magnificent creature in all the world.

As a stable boy, I get to care for these horses constantly. I tend to their needs and I care for them as well as many a man cares for his family. I grew up wanting to be one of Arthur's Knights, as all boys do everywhere, but a few jousts quickly demonstrated I was not knight material. I am content enough to help care for the horses.

King Arthur, himself, often comes down to the stables to inspect his horse and feed it. He is the most 'regular' King I have ever met. Not that I have met many. It's just I suspect most aren't a thing like our King Arthur. He inspires a loyalty that doesn't depart after he leaves. He is honest. Every word he utters is truth. The people understand that and in that truth is where, methinks, his true strength lies.

Never before has one man inspired so many to such greatness.

But he is no man...he is KING ARTHUR!

The shouts from the castle can be heard when the Knights take their oath, before they sit down at the table round, "I dedicate my sword to Truth, Justice and King Arthur!"

Of course King Arthur was real. Everybody knows that.
