The bosses will always argue that there's so FEW of them, and so MANY of the hoi polloi that no matter how much they take home it really makes little difference in the overall profit and loss equation. Besides, they're the risk takes and do all the creative work, right? And of course, they pay all the taxes, Boo hoo! So the great unwashed should suck it in and shut up, and be happy that they're working at all.
Of course it's not fair, but neither was the guillotine in 1789. If you pull the tail of the cat often enough, someone's gonna wind up with a face full of claws. And fairly or not, there's a lot of Joe Sixpacks, NASCAR dads and Joe da Plumbers out there who are thinking twice now about voting Republican again. If you want any proof, look at all the Republicans who are slamming their CEO buddies and climbing on the Obama bandwagon on this one.
BTW, has anybody been monitoring Rush to see what he makes of all this?
