Try FDR for legal precedent

FDR's orders concerning a captured Nazi sabotage team in WW2 set precedent for W.'s actions, which were humane, given the threat he faced.

It should also be noted in this regard that the field interogation techniques adopted by US servicemen at the front in WW2 were "flexible".

I want to remind all of you HZ'ers that Al Qaeda had just killed several thousand of your fellow citizens, and was trying its best to kill more of them.

The only question I have is whether the interogation methods used were effective, and unfortunately, given this past administration's failures in so many other areas, I really wonder if they managed to obtain all of the information that they could.

Consider for a moment the European train bombings.

Might something have been learned which might have prevented them?

How do you weigh those victims' sufferings?
