Saving the World

They chose people who are less likely to draw fire. Hispanics walk on water these days and a South Korean was another very safe choice.

In an insane politically correct society if one panders to certain groups the most outrageous positions and effort will be taken to whitewash the participants. Alcaray's post on 'harmless Mexico' is a sterling example of this black is white outright lying. It can only be done though in the shadow of a group currently being pandered to.

Gonzales and Yoo were fine choices.

You need to learn how to hone your argument when dealing with TB - the issue isn't unamerican - it it using race to buy cover.

It's a disgustingly calculated world where everything you read, see and hear is crafted to get you to think a certain way - and by default give your power to others.

That said, what was done after 9/11 still pales next to the most horrifying outright murders commited around the world today, and by the 'old school' US in WWII and throughout the first 3/4 of the 20th century.

America will wake up in a new Mexican Drug cartel run land, whose property is owned by China and Deutsche Bank. It's happening here. I have my finger on the pulse of the datastream and it is horrifying and I don't use that word lightly. The crash has empowered the cartels and the drugs are piouring across our border faster than ever in history. Obama went down there, like Bush before him, to buy protection - by selling out America and comforting them that he will play ball. Yes, in today's world fear will make folks say and do anything. The Secret Service is good -but if you have some determined group - no service is good enough for a public politician.

I want to be optimistic. I really, really do. I look around at the kids, their parents, the schools and what passes for culture and I realize even though even the worst circumstances offer learning potential and growth for the participants - right now, we are going to sink like a lead balloon.

I keep working the numbers along with others who burn the 4 am oil now - working through the night to find answers, yet finding only things to get more depressed about. No matter how much you want to save the world from itself, no matter how much one may want to go through the children's wards in the hospital and say, "Be thou healed!" and take away all the crippling illnesses, pain and suffering - or if one could simply wave a wand towards a school and say, "Educatus Supremus!" - one realizes one only robs them of their own needed lessons and overcomings.

Obtaining power over others is easy. Abstaining from interference and letting nature take its course - now that's tough.

Someday Earth may evolve to the point where all have an IQ of 180, violence is completely absent, prosperity is achieved through wisdom and science exists at a level that would simply seem like magic and 'impossible' to us. Where love is universal and everyone has compassion for their fellow citizens, where love becomes more powerful than all the world's religions and the masses enjoy life with a passion that today would appear to border on a state of perpetual ecstasy. Where freedom is 100 percent and there are no laws - only people in control of their minds and actions.

The people of today could not survive in such an Earth. They would be lost and rudderless without their stable full of violent emotionalisms, lusts and jealousies to deal with the world around them.

I apologize for the sermon. It's been an all-nighter and I guess I just needed to sound off.

Take care Lindy. Keep your eyes open and stay positive and some day you will walk the cities of that future world.
