Lieberman switched to the Independent party and won the general election.

Spector switched to the Democratic Party, not able to switch to the independent.

Can you not see the parallels?

And speaking of power for the sake of power, how about Coleman-Franken? Do you think Scalia and Thomas will find a way to give it to Coleman?
