re: May 5, 1961 Where Were You?

... I know, but it has to be said. Everyone remembers John Glenn, but yet no one remembers Alan Shepard.

I'll let that sink in for a while, but it's true. But, they should remember Alan and all those firsts.

Apollo 14: [over 100 pounds of moon rock was collected and several surface experiments, including seismic studies, were carried out.] [Command Module Pilot Stuart Roosa took several hundred seeds on the mission, many of which were germinated on return resulting in the so called Moon trees.]

Moon trees are cool on earth. but moon rocks are priceless. Read that up there again if you have to, and maybe you have to.

Again, I am so glad that that man made it to the moon! I guess it's a generational thing, but I was always hoping (from history) that he would achieve something more than he did and he certainly did. (besides playing golf on the moon).
