I am amazed Mitchell and his pronouncement wasn't brought up there
already, but I am not going to start it.

The usual media and public view if that someone does any kind of work
with Up There, they are immediately experts on aliens, the Big Bang,
and God. Even if they offer nothing more than more anectodes, like
Mitchell does.

By the way, he conducted an ESP experiment during the cruise to and
from the Moon on Apollo 14. Naturally he did not tell NASA about this
and he said he contacted several people on Earth, but again, it is all
anecdote with no rigorous science backing it up.

If nothing else, it certainly does prove how human our astronauts were
and are.
