Where do the billions (perhaps trillions) of dollars looted by the Ken Lays and Bernie Madoffs of this World go? Not into hyperspace. That money is still around somewhere. Where is that "somewhere"? Offshore banks! These abominable institutions accept monies from the gigacrooks of the USA and hold it until these bozos finally kick the bucket. Then, because the money cannot be reported, it cannot be claimed as part of the estates of the gigacrooks, and it is forfeit to the offshore bankers. These offshore bankers by now must make Bill Gates and Warren Buffet look like paupers by comparison.

If serious steps were made to recover such sequestered funds, the economy might very well soon be on its way to recovery.
