I agree with you. The unknown is how well the Rs can appeal to the gun, anti-abortion, religious, NASCAR, WWE and poorer whites.

I truly believe that their agenda is in effect to help the rich get richer, period. That leaves them free to profess anything which sounds good, eg, fiscal responsibility, small government, big, tough, mean military that doesn't take shit from anyone, not looking for a fight but not running from one either, prayer in public schools (as long as it's Christian), without really caring what happened.

And I also believe that at the moment most Americans would be moderate leaning toward the Rs if they had that choice.
