The CC's have the RIGHT to gouge the incompetent. Oh, THAT's different.
"Z" was talking about people who are financially devastated by medical bills, he didn't say a thing about incompetence. That was just another TB lateral arabesque to confuse the issue.
The truth is, and you know it perfectly well, that the CCCs carefully design their forms/contracts so they will be deliberately confusing to the uneducated, the aged, poor English speakers and others likely to misinterpret them or simply not understand them, not to mention those people who normally don't go over these documents diagramming all the sentences.
Then they carefully craft their marketing campaigns to go after these people because they are easy marks. Then they change the rules and conditions frequently and abruptly, without warning, so that those who are forced by circumstances to miss a payment, or otherwise change their credit habits, or their financial conditions, are trapped. The penalties these people pay help finance all those bennies you feel are your by droit du seigneur. The credit card companies encourage bad financial behavior because it is more profitable for them. And now that the economy is tightening up and the CC's are keeping their profits up at your expense you get all in a huff.
You are really some piece of work.
