I said nothing about whether life was hard or not back then. I was referring to the levels of influence of the Federal government compared to local government and business. And right now, the level of influence of the Federal government is rising asymptotically. I found it interesting that you perceive the level of influence as similar to that of many years ago.

You believe that the fine print on a credit card agreement has more of an effect on the average American than what's going on in Washington and our state capitals right now. Do you understand how far you have to distort reality to make that balance out?
