If you think the government has the right to command me on what kind of fats I can eat, fine. Through all these discussions, you've never addressed the real point, or told me where your own line is on how much power they should have. It is an issue of choice, and when there is no choice in things that harm no other person, there is no freedom.
You keep telling me how you're all about free markets, and reasonable regulation, yet nothing that the government does, no matter how ludicrous, seems to bother you. I don't think the words mean what you think they do.
I'm regarded as demented because I don't believe that the Federal government should be able to tell someone on the West Coast what kind of light bulbs to use. That's where the line seems to be around here. Does that bother anyone besides me?
