I would have supported Bishop's resolution.
but it still is a sideshow. The issue is whether or not torture occurred, not whether Pelosi knew about it. Pelosi is trying to cover up for her alleged involvement or prior knowledge by lying is another question altogether, one which would be answered fully by my hypothetical McCain panel in any event.
As I said, I still would have supported the Bishop resolution--in principle, but in practice, it is typical Republican Iran-Contra obfuscation, obscure the main event under a flurry of distracting and secondary skirmishes until the public outrage subsides (or can be diverted in a safe direction, away from the GOP).
