I've heard the same about the local guys.,
and the credit unions have a good rep, too, because they aren't giant corporations that feel dealing with some working stiff is a waste of their time. Little outfits compete with other small institutions so it keeps them honest. However, there are other reasons why I need to be affiliated with a bank that's "too big to fail". And I guess I pay the price for it.
