"Western powers are seeking to undermine Iran by spreading "anarchy and vandalism", the foreign ministry says.
A spokesman said foreign media were "mouthpieces" of enemy governments seeking Iran's disintegration.
He spoke as Tehran remained tense but quiet amid heavy security aimed at preventing new protests against the result of Iran's presidential election. "

I imagine some may think that this a vaguely reasonable thing for Iran's foreign minister to say.
I find it to be utter nonsense.
It seems to me the Iranian regime is attempting to spread anarchy and vandalism. The Iranian press is a mouth piece of a dictatorial regime.
And why does a regime need high security aimed at preventing future protests? Isn't the basis of the current regime a derivative of past protest- if protest was illegitimate doesn't that mean the basis of Iran's regime is illegitimate?
I think that the peaceful nature of the protest was quite evident until efforts to disrupt them by govt hired thugs.
