How is hiring illegal aliens any different than buying illegal drugs?

As you point out, if no one would hire illegal aliens, there would be no problem with them. It's the consumer of aliens' labor who drives the problem.

And it's the same, I believe, with illegal drugs. The person who is using marijuana and/or cocaine and the person who likes a hit of meth, no matter how casually, is supporting a heinous infrastructure, directly contributing to violence and oppression.

If Americans wouldn't buy illegal drugs there would be no problem from the cartels.

What is the logical basis for condemning the hiring of illegal aliens and supporting the casual used of illegal drugs?

BTW, in both cases making the causative agent legal would eliminate the illegality. Sounds odd, but that's the reasoning.
