Commies don't have rights.

Suspected Commies don't have rights.
Alleged Commies don't have rights.

The issue is not what crimes he's committed. It's whether or not he's committed those crimes.

So far, we only seem to have the word of his enemies that he committed crimes, and what those crimes were, or even if they were really crimes in the first place. And we only have the word of his enemies that his punishment for those alleged crimes was a just one.

Now that he's conveniently out of the picture, and his enemies are in complete control, we will never know, will we? Our only sources of official information are those run by those who deposed hm, and their ideological allies abroad who will believe anything as long as they think it is bad news for Commies, and who will look the other way at any evidence contradicting them.

When the election troubles broke out in Iran, I was too far away to know what was really going on. Perhaps the government was right, and the protestors were a small group of sore losers causing trouble. How was I to know? The situation only started to come clear when the government started clamping down on reporters, punishing those who reported the news, shut down communications links, and otherwise started trying to control communications. I suspect the same thing is going to start happening in Honduras. I will reserve judgement on what actually went down until the post-coup government there opens up fully to outside questioning (or fails to do so).

In South America, if you don't like someone, you call him a Communist. Whether he is or not really doesn't matter.
