But that's not the point. Even if el Presidente had called for a leftist uprising and overthrow of the constitutional government, and had sent his loyal followers into the streets to riot, the correct response would have been to show up at his house with a warrant and taken him for trial, so that the people and the world could have seen the evidence for themselves.

Nothing much has changed in the banana oligarchies, or in certain oligarchies here, for that matter.
