The world is safer with Cheney gone. And was safer with Saddam in place.

Cheney has been thoroughly discredited. Read what GOP leader Dick Armey has to say about the lies. No one can believe any premise for that war.

As it turns out, Saddam was not going anywhere. He was deathly afraid of Iran, didn't want to piss off anyone else, the First Gulf War having taught him a lesson he learned.

And now we have an Iraq which is only under some modicum of "peace" after extensive ethnic cleansing and the intellectual and professional classes have left the country as long as American bodies are stationed in blocking positions. Once significant numbers of Americans have left the country, if that happens, it will be hell.

Don't forget, one does not have a "democracy" as long as there are armed foreign troops wandering the countryside able to light up an area at will while the "democratic" leaders are hiding from their own people in a "Green Zone".

While achieving this state, the US armed forces have been debilitated, the moral leadership destroyed and the US has been run massively in debt.

The biggest threat to world peace is and has been the American Conservative. Who else has travelled half-way around the world to invade a relatively harmless country, for instance? Name someone.
