By military standards it lasted 2 months. Consider an auction.
Let's say you tell your wife you are going to an auction. Going to buy a truck. It needs some work, but you can rent it to neighbors and friends for more than it will cost. Will pay for itself in 1 year. The owner is behind on the payments, and you can get it for $1,000 down, $5,000 total. And in 1 year, you'll own it free and clear and it wll make money for you.
You'll be back as soon as the auction is over.
4 years later you come home and say you have won the auction. The truck is yours.
Only cost $3,000,000, needs a new engine, transmission, wheels and tires.
But bigawd you won that auction.
