Being shot in these fortified "cages" while being transported in the heat. But, seeing as that was when the Bush administration was still in their shock and awe phase and coming down severly hard on the media with their "traitor" BS, nobody said anything; and then it got worse.

Someone gave those orders or Dostrum became the new Hussein in a move to do some ethnic cleansing. Maybe we just looked the other way. Maybe Rumsfeld signed off on it.
Whatever it was, it's another sordid part of our meddling in middle eastern affairs.
