They are still occuring but on a much lesser scale and there appears to be closed circuits when they're reported. Linda Moulten Howe handles most reports; and a lot of researchers use it as an "evil alien" plot. I admit they are bizarre and a bit freaky, along with reports of MIBs (yeah, they exist too); but if it IS an alien culture; they appear to be a lot neater than our own abbatoirs and appetites, and are only being used to sample something in our environment (my guess anyway). I don't look much into that side of it; I saw what it did to LMH.
