I will certainly send both your problem-solving posts to my group to provoke an alternative explanation. One of them deals directly with the hoaxers, so he might send your thoughts along to them and they might get busted. If he was in with the National Geographic "unveiling the hoaxes" (as I suspect he was), then their secret will be out.

BTW, taking your broomstick out to the BIG cat land in your backyard was quite the image for me. They found that cat in YOUR back yard?? No wonder the kitties were sleeping under the bed at night! MEOW
