It isn't about the money, Lee. It's about the power. If they can destroy the GOP with this hysteria, the Democratic Party wins.
If the economy burns to the waterline over the next ten years but the Democrats have power, it's still a win.
"Does this give us power" is the ONLY aspect of any policy that is addressed. Go down the list over the past few years and look for yourself. Health care, energy, economics, budgets, education, you name it. It's why any solution in any of these areas that removes power and wealth from the State is automatically not only dismissed, but demonized.
