How many times have we been through this? TARP? The "stimulus?" Obamacare? All legislation that was jammed down our throats by people screaming that if we didn't give them this power and loot we were all going to die.
The Democrats can fix this in five minutes by agreeing to pass a short-term limit increase with a small spending cut. You tell me who's using this for political advantage.
