The situation is routinely framed, by the mainstream media, as attacks on children.
But not really children. These are high school students. They come from a world of vicious snubs and brutal put-downs. They're well-equipped to snipe right back at the wingnuts.
And, seriously, these are kids who survived an attack with actual bullets. I'll bet they won't fold under a barrage of rightwing feces.
