...is by an ad hominem (or in this case, ad feminem) attack on their critics.

They don't criticize the arguments or logic marshalled against them, or the validity of the facts, they can only attack the messenger. In this case, a high school girl.

I'm surprised they haven't accused her of being gay...as if that had anything to do with anything even if it was true.
