They have a similar message, but for different reasons.
The Russians want the US to fail so they can discredit democracy as a form of government (thereby legitimizing their own kleptocracy), and to weaken a major rival on the world stage.
The Right wants the US to fail so they can blame the oncoming chaos on the Libs and they can then take power.
They're both scoundrels, but at least the Russians are trying to help their country at our expense. The Right is willing to bring the nation to its knees so they can
lever the resulting collapse to their political and economic advantage.
The final goal is to cut taxes and stop government regulation of business, at all costs. At any cost. You don't really think this is about illegal aliens, prayer in the schools and unborn babies, do you?
