Probably the palantír from Amon Sûl (AKA Weathertop), lost in the ice bay back in '75.
I wonder what happened to the props from that scene. It would be so much fun to have them in the "Mushroom House. Even a reproduction would be hysterical.
I understand about Blazing Saddles as I have gathered you are not a big fan of Westerns. And it is over the top. But Gene and Clevon are a brilliant team. The scenes with Mel himself, not so much.
And that is not even Gene's best role, who is one of the very best comedic actors of that era. Young Frankenstein is his zenith. His pacing in a single sentence, like "I thought I told you to never interrupt me whILE I AM WORKING!" Almost used it this morning working on my taxes when the cat came begging into my office.
