Dude
I'm obviously not talking about your views on your personal life. I'm talking about your view about the world in general. Humanity has a come a long long way and people are so vastly better off today than in previous centuries. Your pessimism about the future doesn't take into account how much progress we have made and continue to make. Perhaps it's because democracy is so messy and slow moving. Change is almost always incremental because everything involves compromise. It's always two steps forward and one step back, but you only notice the one step back. Whatever. I appreciate your input because it is almost always well thought out even when I disagree.
