The Rodney King riots in L.A. I lived in Los Angeles at the time and it was surreal. Like then, what is happening in France is a social protest that has turned into large scale rioting, looting and vandalism.
You're absolutely correct that the far right in France and across Europe will be the beneficiaries of this. And the large numbers of immigrants participating in the violence is what helps the fascists the most.
