I did that.
I created an Earth Science Link Directory, and an Earth Science Gallery, but have always felt that geology belonged on the Space Science Board, and didn't need a new board. As you know, I've argued against a proliferation of new boards. There is plenty of room in the blog-o-sphere of the tiki for more specific topics.
