What you see there is either the earth science link directory, or an earth science gallery. Myself, I'm not in favor of creating a bunch of new forums for fear of dilution of discussion. My view is that the earth is in space, and therefore earth science resides in the realm of Space Science.
Just my opinion. When I've time, I've been posting earth science topics on my blog, "Juggling Geology".
