What gripes me re: the fires
There were about 5 people who refused to evacuate when ordered and last I knew they were trapped. So firefighters, instead of being able to focus 100% on saving structures, have to focus some of their people and resources on saving the lives of some jackasses who refused to evacuate when ordered to do so.
Those five people should be billed for every damn dollar spent on trying to rescue them and all property lost because resources were diverted. That is, if they survive. If they don't, it's moot and survival of the fittest is still valid.
