Just to clarify my own situation,

I have no editor or moderator priviliges related to space-science. At present I can only do what any member can do, (post) related to space science and I am pretty sure this includes not approving or editing anonymous (public) posts on space science.

I do have moderating ppowers on all other boards including the public posts on geek.

I have always assumed that the triumverate retained all powers on space science, but at this point, based what I have read, I am uncertain what the situation is related to the powers turned on for what editors/moderators, on what boards, other than myself. :)

I suppose in the end that satisfies everything but my curiousity. :)

As to the handling of public posts, I believe the moderators have carte blanc power as long as the action/edit is noted, and the noting part applies to posts that have some value. Any post that is obviously spam or otherwise without any value can be deleted without comment and the log will stand as justification for that action.
