So many Americans, myself included, faced many years of "lacking faith" in the president. I feel much better today for America's future because Obama's policy of reaching out with respect to the muslim world has hit the terrorists where it hurts the most: recruitment. Bush played into their hands with his one dimensional policy of military power. In the long run we can not make war forever. Sooner or later we have to win the peace.

A jewish friend of mine went to Egypt and said they have Obama pictures everywhere. They love him. TB and SDAI tech would say this is a bad thing and shows we are weak. Think about that mentality. That somehow we are safer if people hate and fear us? America's military spending is equal to the rest of the world combined. Teddy Roosevelt said speak softly and carry a big stick. That is exactly what Obama is doing. We need not be arrogant and threatening to be safe. Mutual respect goes a long way.
