Re: Researchers find 'bright ribbon' at edge of solar system
Interesting. When they say "blue ribbon" are they indicating that the hydrogen is bonding with oxygen molecules way out in space and forming water/ice? Is it possible for water molecules to exist way out there in space away from a planetary body, too far for the sun to sublimate them?
The researchers say the findings can tell them about the interstellar cloud through which our Milky Way galaxy is moving and which the galaxy will leave in about 10,000 years.
Seems like they meant "intergalactic cloud" if they galaxy is leaving it. Or more likely they might have meant the solar system where they said "galaxy"?
