Food stagers are paid well for fudging.

It's a fact that food that looks delicious when seen in person may look like yesterday's laundry when photographed. I don't know why but it does. Food stagers create a sculpture that makes the food look appetizing. They will under cook meat so it will look juicy, sometimes paint it with pink to make it look juicy. I couldn't believe some of the things they substitute for the actual food. Cherries in the cherry pie may NOT be cherries at all!

Much of the food as they stage it for ads is totally inedible and not food at all! Kind of like a car salesman gone over to food sales. What you see ain't what you get!
