You could be right; those buying those might not go to the theater or buy a real DVD later. OTOH, what if they did because they really wanted to see the film and had to go the legit way or do without? If they are genuinely poor people, they might do without but if they are not, they might just invest in the real deal. There's no way we can be sure.

Regardless, piracy is illegal and they are infringing on copyright. As an author, I'd like the SOB's hung by their thumbs. They are taking money out of the pockets of rightful copyright owners. We may like or dislike them and they may be wealthy individuals but, nonetheless, it IS piracy and should be dealt with as such. Make 'em walk the plank!
