A lot of news came down the pike since I posted that. I still prefer letting things settle out a bit. Nowadays a lie can get a hell of a lot further than it used to while the truth is still getting its boots on.
Remember, during a lot of that news cycle, the "truth" was that the shooter was dead, and so was the one who shot him.
