Electron Beam Freeform Fabrication, (EBF3) sounds like the answer to a real world rapid prototyping system.
The ability to make and deposit alloys on the fly, is pretty amazing.
Maybe an evolved, more mature version could crank out cryo-propellant tanks on the Moon?
