Despite the obviousness of it, I thought it marked an improvement in the series. Up till then, I'd seen the characters as a bunch of dumbshit primadonnas whose fate, quite frankly, didn't concern me much. But now at least we have a conflict with some texture to it, sneaky bastard versus murderous bastard. Funny, but for the first time, I actually care what happens next. I mean, after the obvious part about Rush rebuilding the alien ship and somehow rejoining Destiny...what then? That'll be one hell of a reunion, won't it?
