It never was AND IT NEVER WILL BE.
Neither will Afganistan or Pakistan.... and we spend America's fortune on some PNAC's wetdream of transforming the Middle East into some kind of American safe haven for "democratic values". Mind you, we're PAYING them to "join us", so that they can....well....feel "secure".
