It is utter lunacy to believe that the planet is in a a severe crisis, and then put a higher priority on "views."
However, if Feinstein knows full well that the global warming issue is less about actual crisis and more about a very useful political weapon, then she isn't being inconsistent at all. Why not have it be "business as usual" with priorities?
This would also explain things like U.N. climate leaders who rail against things like bottled water while flying jets to see cricket games.
They don't believe most of this crap any more than I do.
