It appears Obama is finally getting the message that the GOP has no interest in working to solve the nation's numerous problems. Their only objective is to prevent the Administration from having any successes. To illustrate this point it is a FACT that there have been more filibusters in Obama's first year than in the 1950s and 60s combined! Two decades of filibusters in one year! To further illustrate, Mitch McConnell, the senate minority leader, along with other leading members of the GOP have for the last year advocated a bi-partisan budget committee to help get the deficit under control. When president Obama agreed with them and proposed creating this committee, they voted against it! Their own god damn idea and they voted against it for purely political reasons! On numerous occasions the Democrats have tried to incorporate GOP policy suggestions only to have the GOP vote against their own ideas, simply because the President was agreeing to them!

The new approach finally seems to be to ram everything through with reconciliation. It's about god damn time! The whole 60 vote super majority garbage never existed anyway with the likes of Lieberman and Nelson in the mix. There are a majority of progressives in the Senate. It's about time they used that majority to deliver the change the American people voted for.

As for the party of "no"... fuck 'em.
