Re: Speed vs Power

What happened to the anti gravity drive? Same thing that happened to our flying cars, and all the other things we read about in Popular Science Magazine. Easy to speculate about but near impossible to bring to practical reality. Not always because they can't be done but mostly because you can't make money off of it soon enough to make a profit for the investors before they die. And it's a lot harder to do than we thought. Apollo made it to the moon in 8 years because we were willing to spend a lot of money and not be concerned if it was profitable because we had t beat the Soviets to the moon. Now we have to watch every penny and do the same thing with one tenth the money. We just can't and now won't do that. I personally don't think letting privet industry do this is going to be any more successful unless they step up and put their money where there mouth is.

Oops! I got off track there. My mind just started wondering. You can move this to some other place if you think it's not appropriate.
