A few things I found amusing:
- Someone invoking the term "McCarthyism" after years of pro-AGW institutions and political forces targeting even the mildest skeptics for professional destruction.
- The continued whining about the "big-monied interests" supposedly funding the skeptics. As an exercise, anybody out there is welcome to compare the amount of money being pumped from corporations to skeptics with the money being pumped from government coffers to pro-AGW interests. Here, I'll even throw them a freebie. That doesn't even count the cultural support.
- The role of Paul Ehrlich, who probably qualifies as the archtypical liberal icon in that he is highly respected despite being dead-ass wrong about almost everything. His other qualification for liberal icon is his prescription of statism as a solution for almost any problem.
