I love geeks. They come in all shapes, sizes and personalities. At first, I was kind of like you about the Big Bang Theory but then I just relaxed and started enjoying it for what it is, a silly show about the ultimate geeks, one of whom has absolutely no sense of humor about himself--which makes him even funnier. You can almost hear the balloon hiss when he gets deflated.

When my ex was in the Air Force stationed in England, this one Greenie we knew (new Lieutenant) had an IQ of around 160 or so. His idea of humor was pretending to be a man riding up in an elevator. He "pushed the button", stepped into the pretend elevator and stood still for several minutes. That was it. It was so stupid, it was hilarious.
