The creed of the "progressive:"
"That guy has more than I think he needs. I think someone else needs it worse than he does. So it's right and proper that I get to take it away from him."
No different than the moral code of the guy who holds you up at the ATM, except with heavy smears of "Robin Hood" lipstick on the pig.
Most of "progressive" political economic discussion is about the lipstick. I don't think I've seen anything other than sex that has more euphemisms than forced wealth redistribution.
